Has your school discovered ImagineThat! ? The perfect northwest school trip venue for Early Years, KS1 and early KS2.
Despite the lifting of most Covid restrictions are we will be continuing with our Covid safe trip format until Easter 2022. For bookings in the summer term we may be back to our original format depending on Covid restrictions. Please find below details of our current Covid safe school trip format:
To keep everybody safe we have days dedicated to educational visits when we will be closed to the public. Each visiting group will have its own designated entrance, departure and lunch area and will not come into contact with any other schools visiting on the day
There is a minimum cost per group of £238.50 + VAT which includes up to 30 children and any additional children would be £7.95 +VAT per child up to a maximum of 50 children per group. We allow one free adult per 5 children and additional adults are £4.95 +VAT
There wil be maximum of 4 groups visiting per day with totally exclusive hire available to any school bringing 4 groups together.
Imagine That! is comprised of 4 individual units each with their own toilet facilities which allows us to ensure visiting bubbles do not come into contact with each other inside the venue.
On arrival each bubble will enter into its own unit where it will spend forty five minutes before moving on to the next unit guided by a member of our staff. As they move from one unit to the next, the classes will follow a one way system to prevent any crossing of the groups
We've introduced a range of measures to ensure your trip is safe and secure without compromising the fun and education:
  1. Your class will remain within its own social bubble with exclusive access to each zone and will be guided through the museum by a visitor guide. They will follow a one way system and will not come into contact with any other groups visiting at the same time
  2. The school visit experience will consist of approximately 45 minutes in each area (Imagination Village, Art Area, Science Zone and Slime Factory) plus a 45 minute lunch slot
  3.  All surfaces, touchpoints, handles, props and exhibits are cleaned or replaced continuously throughout the day and after each group has passed through
  4. Trips are from 10.15am-2pm
  5. On arrival you will be greeted by your guide who will store your lunches and coats and give an introductory talk on how the day will run
  6. All adults will be required to wear face coverings (unless exempt) and Imagine That! Staff will be wearing face shields      Please contact us for more details

Visits will still include our popular workshops such as slime, bath bombs and fridge magnets and we’ve introduced some exciting new workshops for the new academic year including a dry-ice sensory show, exploring the properties of solids and gases in an amazing visual experience

In between workshops children will be allowed to explore freely within their zone under the supervision of teachers and helpers

Imagine That! Liverpool is filled with many wonderful things for the children to explore and enjoy so in addition to the structured shows and workshops there is plenty of time for free exploration.

In our Science area we have exhibits that demonstrate the power of air, our favourites being the scarf blower and the wind tunnel. We have excellent electricity exhibits such as our giant electric circuits, giant electricity stick, and pedal power bicycles where the children can see how they can generate electricity. There is lots of fun to be had in our dark room where the children can experiment with white light, leave their shadow on the wall in our flash shadow exhibit or write with light on our special board
A favourite with children and teachers alike is our giant bubble maker where the children can stand inside a ring and make a bubble that is potentially 6ft high! Unbelievabubble! In addition there are many other exhibits to enjoy such as the microscope, magnet table, alarm tunnel and on Target range.

OurPump and Splash Water Area is full of fun as the children pump the water to fill and tip the buckets and pump to turn the water wheel.
There is also panning for gold and general water play.

The Art Area begins in the ConservARTory with chalk boards, see through easels, mosaics and weaving.
Our craft table is a hub of creativity as the children are busy making different crafts and this is where they will paint their fridge magnet. In this area is our signature “paint the car” where the children can take a pot of paint and leave their mark on our real car!

At the entrance to our Construction zone are lifesize dinosaur footprints that the children can measure their own feet against and this leads into a sandy area which is filled with diggers, sand sieves and dinosaur bones and fossils. The children will then make their way onto the construction site where the they can don hi vis vests, hard hats and tool belts and get to work in an area that is always busy.
There are two large cranes with which the children can lift and move “heavy” boxes. Or they can fill their wheelbarrows with bricks and then load them onto the conveyor belt to send them up to the top of the construction site.

To enter into our Imagination Village the children simply press the button on the pelican crossing, wait for the beeps and then cross on into our bustling high street which is brimming with ideas to inspire their imaginations. We have a Pizzeria, a Pet rescue, Hair Salon, American Diner, Supermarket, Car Wash, Theatre, Back stage costume area and T.V Studio.
All workshops and science shows are included in the price. If you have a large number of adults please contact us as we often do free adult admission
At certain times we are able to accommodate requests for extra workshops to complement your school topic so please just ask at the time of booking.
Please do not hesitate to call or email if you have any questions.

We hope to see you soon at Imagine That!Liverpool- the Art and Science of Child’s Play
